2026 Board/Committee Elections
Ballot 1 of 2
Review & Submit
The 2026 election ballot is to elect members of standing boards/committees and continuing committees reporting to the Board of Directors and/or Council of Representatives. Each candidate was invited to submit a statement and/or biography of no more than 125 words to accompany the ballot. Statements from each candidate can be viewed by clicking the candidate's name on the ballot.
Note that on the ballot some candidates have an asterisk beside their name. The asterisk is included as a result of Council's approval of the following motion:
Council supports the inclusion on boards and committees of psychologists who have not previously served on a board, committee, or Council, and therefore requests that board and committee election slates include an asterisk (*) by each nominee (with the nominee’s permission) who has not previously served on a board, committee or Council.
Early Career Psychologists (within ten years of receipt of the doctoral degree) are indicated with the letters ECP next to their names and agreed to have this noted on the ballot.
About Voting
This ballot is divided into individual slates with each slate requiring a vote. The HARE system will be used in determining the election results; the person receiving the majority of the votes cast is elected.
In using the HARE system, ballots are distributed to the first choice on each ballot. If no candidate is elected on the first count (i.e., no candidate has received a majority of the votes cast), the candidate receiving the fewest votes is eliminated and the ballots assigned to the individual are redistributed to the remaining candidates. The procedure continues until one candidate has a majority or until all but one is eliminated.
