This mockup simulates a single sort, filter, and pagination experience with 2 result set containers for "Most Relevant Publications" and "Recent Publications" (except in certain cases where only one column is shown, as indicated below). The default view of the mockup is after a user searched for "top rated articles about animal models" in the top search bar and pressed enter - 200 results are delivered in each "container" ("Most Relevant Publications" and "Recent Publications"), so 400 results total.

After running each demo, reload your browser to reset everything so the next demo will work correctly.

To see how filters could affect the search results display:

• Select the "Columns" checkbox filter to see when there are no results in the "Most Relevant Publications" container but there are results in the "Recent Publications" container.
• Select the "Stein, Barry E." checkbox filter to see when there are no results in the "Recent Publications" container but there are results in the "Most Relevant Publications" container.

Certain search queries could also affect the search results display. Here are some examples (you should be able to copy and paste these into the top search bar, just make sure there's no spaces before or after the query):

• Words such as "recent", "latest", and "trending", as well as years (e.g., 2021) and year ranges ("between 2010 and 2024") within the search query will result in a single results container with only the "Most Relevant Publications" heading. • Search queries that do not return any results will show a "No Results" view. To see this, type in the top search bar:

• Sensitive queries will also not return any search results and will show the "No Results" view. To see this, type in the top search bar:

• If a user inputs an Author Name into the search bar, it will apply a (fuzzy) filter for that name in the semantic results set and only one column, "Most Relevant Publications" will display, so there may be less than 200 results returned in the single container. To show how the SERP will look like with such a query, type in the top search bar:

• If a user inputs some other prefiltered query into the top search bar (TBD), the results set containers might not each have 200 results returned in each container, To show how the SERP will look like with such a query, type in the top search bar:

You will see the pagination results count and pagination button numbers reflect that only 185 results were returned in both containers. Now, click on the "6" pagination button, and you will see that there are still more "Most Relevant Publications" to view in that container, but the "Recent Publications" container is now empty at this point in the pagination.
