Raymond D. Fowler Award

Established by the American Psychological Association Board of Directors in 2003, the Raymond D. Fowler Award was created to honor Dr. Fowler's decades of service to the Association.

The Award recognizes a staff member whose work ethic encourages productive and cooperative relationships among offices, departments, directorates, or governance groups and shows a clear dedication to advancing APA’s mission.

Serves as a catalyst to enhance an overall process between offices, departments, directorates or governance groups.
Maintains a professional presence and demeanor that facilitates open, honest communication within and between groups, which may have disparate ideas, agendas, or perspectives.
Promotes knowledge of and respect for a diversity of opinions and backgrounds thereby having a positive impact on others and the work environment.
Serves as an ambassador for the American Psychological Association by demonstrating a consistently high level of motivation for and commitment to doing a job well while promoting the ideals of the Association.
